Shift Cable

Set the parking brake. Remove the console. See CONSOLE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers. See Fig 1 . Push the shifter neutral lock clip. See Fig 2 or Fig 3 . Move shifter slightly in order to center lock clip. Ensure the transaxle is in Neutral. Press and lock the shift cable retainers. See Fig 4 . Pull the shifter neutral lock clip to its original position. Install the console. See CONSOLE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
