Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. If the vehicle is equipped with a stabilizer shaft, remove the stabilizer shaft link. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  4. If removing the right lower control arm, remove the engine mount strut retaining bolts.

  6. Remove the engine mount strut.
  7. If removing the left lower control arm, remove the front suspension support brace mounting bolts.
  8. Remove the front suspension support brace (3).

  10. Remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement .
  11. Remove the wiring harness from the lower control arm.
  12. Remove the lower control arm front (5) and the rear (4) mounting bolts.

  14. Remove the lower control arm (2) from the front suspension crossmember (1).
