Removal Procedure

Remove the trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (AZTEK) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (RENDEZVOUS) .
Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
Remove the inside handle rods from the rear door inside handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT - REAR INSIDE .
Disconnect the clip securing the outside handle rod to the rear door lock.

Remove the screws from the rear door lock.

Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lock.

Remove the lock from the rear door with the inside handle rods attached to the lock through the access hole in the inner panel.

Remove the inside handle rods from the lock.
