Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the inertia seat back lock assembly (1) to the seat back.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the 4 seat back lock bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the inertia seat back lock bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the seat back cover. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT  .
  4. Install the new emergency release knob.
  5. For the passenger side only, route the E/Z entry cable. Ensure that the routing of the cable is the same as before removal.
  6. For the passenger side only, connect the cable to the seat adjuster.
  7. For the passenger side only, attach the cable seat bottom with the tie strap.
  8. Install the 2 pivot bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the pivot bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the 2 new rear roll pins (2).
  10. Install the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET  .
