Removal Procedure

Important:  Use a 36 mm (1.42 in) wheel bolt for front service replacement only.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the brake caliper and bracket. Hang the caliper and the bracket from the vehicle. DO NOT allow the caliper and the bracket to hang by the brake hose. Refer to FRONT BRAKE CALIPER .
  4. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to FRONT BRAKE ROTOR .
  5. Use the J 6627-A  in order to extract the stud (1) from the hub (2).
