Removal Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Install protective coverings over the fenders.
  3. Remove the right and the left air inlet grille panels. Refer to AIR INLET GRILLE PANEL REPLACEMENT .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the under hood lamp, if equipped.
  5. Remove the windshield washer nozzles, Refer to WASHER NOZZLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT in Wiper/Washer Systems.
  6. Remove the hood hinge from the attaching bolts and the nuts.
  7. With an assistant, remove the hood from the vehicle.
