Removal Procedure

- Remove the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (GMC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET) in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the hood bumper from the fender. Refer to HOOD BUMPER REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the hood. Refer to HOOD REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the antenna mast and the base. Refer to FIXED ANTENNA MAST REPLACEMENT in Entertainment.
- Remove the battery. Refer to BATTERY REPLACEMENT in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the radiator coolant reservoir. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the electronic brake control module from the fender. Refer to ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE (EBCM) REPLACEMENT in Antilock Brake System.
- Remove the vacuum tank from the left fender. Refer to VACUUM TANK REPLACEMENT in HVAC Systems-Manual.
- Remove the electrical harness retaining clips from the fender.
- Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the radiator support.
- Remove the bolt that retains the fender to the reinforcement.
- Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the cowl.
- Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the door hinge.
- Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the rocker panel.
- Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the wheelhouse.
- Remove the wiring harness and vacuum line retainers from the fender.
- Remove the fender from the vehicle.
