Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower fan shroud in the vehicle.
    1. 1.1. Position the lower fan shroud against the radiator.
    2. 1.2. Engage the locating tabs by pushing down on the fan shroud.

  2. Install the upper fan shroud.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the upper fan shroud bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the lower fan shroud.

  5. If equipped with the 2.2L, install the air intake duct assembly:

    Tighten 

    Tighten the intake air duct clamps 5 N.m (44 lb in)

  6. Install the push pins (2).
