Rear Door Trim Panel: Installation
NOTE:
Use correct fastener in correct location. Replacement fasteners must be correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage fastener. Use correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Position trim panel (2) to door, pressing down to seat inner belt weatherstrip. See Fig 1 . Align push-in retainers and push in to engage retainers. Install trim panel (3) screws. Tighten trim panel screws to 18 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). Install door armrest screws (1). Tighten armrest screw to 27 INCH lbs. (3 N.m). Install the power window switch.
