Park Lock Cable

The park lock cable prevents the gearshift lever from being moved out of the Park position unless the ignition lock cylinder is out of the LOCK position. It also prevents the lock cylinder from being turned to the LOCK position unless the gearshift lever is in the Park position. This is accomplished by a park lock cable connected between the lock cylinder and gearshift lever.
