Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the air conditioning system. Refer to GENERAL MOTORS .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - INLET (3.8L ENGINE)  or RADIATOR HOSES (5.7L ENGINE) .
  4. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (3.8L ENGINE)  or RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (5.7L ENGINE) .
  5. Remove the evaporator tube bolt.
  6. Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser.

  8. Remove the upper oil cooler line from the radiator.
  9. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  10. Remove the lower oil cooler line from the radiator.

  12. Remove the air conditioning condenser tube nut.
  13. Remove the condenser tube from the condenser.
  14. Lower the vehicle.

  16. Remove the reservoir hose from the radiator.
  17. Remove the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  19. Remove the radiator (with condenser) from the vehicle.

  21. Remove the condenser from the radiator.
