Removal & Installation: Starter: Installation

  1. Install the starter. Install the starter to the engine bolts. Tighten the starter bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install flywheel inspection shield. Connect the leads to the starter. See Figure. Tighten the cable to solenoid nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the lower closeout panel. Lower the vehicle. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten battery cable to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
