Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

If equipped with a short bed, install the exhaust heat shield.
Install the exhaust heat shield bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Install the exhaust muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement (4.8L and 5.3L Engines) or Muffler Replacement (6.0L and 8.1L Engines) .
