Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the starter/generator control module (SGCM) cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System - Starter/Generator Control Module .
  2. Remove the surge tank. Refer to Surge Tank Replacement .
  3. Reposition the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) from the SGCM coolant tank (2).
  4. Remove the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (3) from the SGCM coolant tank (2).

  6. Remove the bolts (2) from the SGCM coolant pump (1).
  7. Reposition the SGCM coolant pump (1) from the radiator core support (3).

  9. Open the coolant pump inlet hose clip (3) located on the frame rail.
  10. Reposition the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose clamp (1) from the SGCM coolant pump (2).
  11. Remove the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) from the SGCM coolant pump (2).
  12. Remove the SGCM coolant pump inlet hose (4) from the vehicle.
