Installation Procedure

  1. Position the hood to the vehicle, with an assistant.
  2. Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the hood hinge to hood bolts, with an assistant. Tighten the bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
  4. Install the assist rod to the hood. Refer to Assist Rod Replacement - Hood .
  5. Adjust the hood, as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
