Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Ensure that the black side of the horn is facing forward on the vehicle.
  1. Install the horn (2) to the radiator support (1). Left side and right side horn assemblies are shown.
  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the horn bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the horn bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Connect the horn electrical connector.
  5. Install the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Refer to PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (EXCEPT AVALANCHE) or PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) .
  6. Install the headlamp. Refer to HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (EXCEPT AVALANCHE) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (ESCALADE) .
  7. Lower the hood.
