Removal Procedure

- Remove the hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement-Hinge Pillar .
- Remove the door sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement-Front or to Door Sill Plate Replacement-Rear .
- Remove the front seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT-FRONT BUCKET .
- Remove the floor storage console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT (EXCEPT PRO) or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT (PRO) .
- Remove the center seat, if equipped. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT-CENTER .
- Remove the control lever and the boot, if equipped. Refer to one of the following procedures in Manual Transmission:
- For NV 3500, refer to CONTROL LEVER AND/OR BOOT REPLACEMENT .
- For NV 4500, refer to CONTROL LEVER AND/OR BOOT REPLACEMENT .
- For ZF S6 650, refer to CONTROL LEVER AND/OR BOOT REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the rear seat if equipped. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (EXTENDED CAB W/4TH DOOR) or SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (EXTENDED CAB) or SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (60/40 SPLIT) .
- Remove the jack assembly.
- Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement-Rear Quarter (Regular Cab) or Trim Panel Replacement-Rear Quarter (Extended Cab) or Trim Panel Replacement-Rear Quarter (Crew Cab) .
- Remove the lower bolt from the instrument panel (I/P) support post. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CARRIER REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the carpet from the vehicle.
