Installation Procedure

- Clean the body panel using Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha.
- Using a small paint brush apply zinc-chromate primer to the spoiler stud inner and outer holes.
- Clean the hood attachment surface using with isopropyl alcohol and allow to flash off for 30 seconds.IMPORTANT: Do not touch the adhesive backing.
- Remove the backing tape from the underside of the heat extractor
- Install the hood air extractor to the hood, pressing into place until the adhesive is fully seated
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Install the new nuts (mastic washers) to the studs on the hood air extractors.
Tighten
Tighten the hood air extractor nuts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Close the hood.
