Installation Procedure

  1. Install the knuckle to the vehicle.

  3. Install the bolts which connect the strut to the knuckle. Hand tighten only.
  4. Connect the front lower control arm ball stud to knuckle. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Attach the ABS bracket to the steering knuckle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ABS bracket bolt to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).

  7. Install the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement in Power Steering.
  8. Install the front wheel drive shaft bearing. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Front .
  9. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Measure and adjust the front alignment. Refer to Front Camber Adjustment in Wheel Alignment.
