Remote Keyless Diagnostic System Check

  1. Attempt to enter Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic mode. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . If BCM enters diagnostic mode, go to next step. If BCM does not enter diagnostic mode, perform BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. If BCM displays any DTCs, go to next step. If BCM does not display any DTCs, diagnose by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
  3. If BCM displays DTC 8, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  table. If BCM displays other DTCs, perform appropriate test. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - GRAND PRIX article for complete DTC listing.
