Remote Keyless Entry Diagnostic System Check

  1. Attempt to enter Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic mode. See BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . If BCM enters diagnostic mode, go to next step. If BCM does not enter diagnostic mode, see BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. If BCM displays any DTCs, go to next step. If BCM does not display any DTCs, diagnose concern by symptom. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS - GRAND PRIX article.
  3. If BCM displays DTC 008, go to DTC 008: KEYLESS ENTRY CIRCUIT OPEN, SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE OR GROUND  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. If BCM displays other DTCs, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  .
