Description & Operation

One outside rearview mirror switch adjusts both driver's and passenger's side outside rearview mirrors. On Camaro, rotate joystick to left (counterclockwise) or right (clockwise) to select mirror. Use joystick to adjust mirror. On Firebird, move switch in middle of outside rearview mirror switch to right or left to select mirror. Use outer part of switch to adjust mirror. On all models, each outside rearview mirror assembly contains 2 reversible motors: an up/down motor and a left/right motor. Outside rearview mirror switch reverses polarity of motor circuit to change direction of mirror movement. Each motor contains a self-resetting circuit breaker, which opens when mirror reaches its mechanical limit of travel.
