Removal & Installation: Starter: Installation

Before installing starter onto engine, ensure solenoid terminal stud nuts are tight. Starter failure may occur due to loose terminal studs or cap damage. Install positive battery cable and wiring to solenoid terminals. Ensure shims are installed in original location (if equipped). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
