Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the coaxial antenna cables into the vehicle.
  2. Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the wiring harness.

    Make sure that the cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in).

  3. Connect the antenna extension lead (2) to the coaxial antenna cable (1).

  4. Connect the antenna lead (2) to the antenna base (3).
  5. Reposition the carpet in the rear compartment area and close the rear trunk lid.
  6. Reposition the carpet to cover the main body wiring harness and coaxial cable.
  7. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LOWER CENTER PILLAR .
  8. Install the passenger side carpet retainer. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT -- IP .
  9. Close the passenger door.
