Differential Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Using Seal Installer (J-44809), install left and right axle shaft oil seals. Lubricate "O" ring seal with Synthetic Gear Oil (12378514). Install NEW "O" ring into groove of pinion housing. Using Seal Installer (J-44915), install oil seal into pinion housing.
  2. Install pinion housing assembly and shim into differential. Install differential bolts. Install torque tube onto differential. Install torque tube bracket nut and bolt. Install spacers to tube flange. Install NEW "O" ring seals onto clutch pump check valve. Install check valve into differential.
  3. Install vent hose and clamp. Install drain plug and gasket. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
