Wiper System And Washer System: Description

Windshield wiper/washer system consists of the following components:

Wiper motor and transmission module.
Wiper arm and blade assemblies.
Washer pump and washer solvent reservoir.
Wiper/washer switch (part of turn signal multifunction switch).

Wiper/washer system operates in following modes:

WASH.
MIST.
DELAY.
LO.
HI.

When wiper switch is turned OFF, wiper motor returns wipers to park position. Voltage is applied to accessory voltage circuit when the ignition switch is in ACCY or RUN position. Wiper motor is equipped with radio frequency interference suppression.
