Strut Assembly: Installation

CAUTION:
Care should be taken to avoid chipping or scratching the coating when handling the suspension coil spring. Damage to the coating can cause premature failure.
- Install the strut into place. See Figure.
- Install the strut to knuckle bolts. Tighten the strut to knuckle bolts and nuts to 89 Ft. Lbs. (120 N.m).
- Install the bolt to the brake hose bracket and the strut assembly. See Figure. Tighten the bolt to 20 Ft. Lbs. (27 N.m).
- Connect the stabilizer shaft link to the strut. See STABILIZER SHAFT .
- Install the tire and wheel.
- Install strut to body mount nuts. See Figure. Tighten the strut to body mount nuts to 33 Ft. Lbs. (45 N.m).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Adjust the rear wheel alignment. See GRAND PRIX .
