Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Buick Regal and 2003 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
- Install the carpet into the vehicle.
Reach under the carpet and feed the following connectors through the slits in the carpet where required:
- The power seat adjusters
- The vacuum connector
- The seat belt warning wire connector
- Install the carpet retainers over the clips on top of the rocker panels.
Install the door weatherstrips.
- Install the quarter lower trim. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER LOWER .
- Install the trim panel to the lower center pillar. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LOWER CENTER PILLAR .
- Install the carpet retainers. Refer to CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT - FRONT for the rear CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT - REAR .
- Install both instrument panel insulators. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT and CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT - REAR in Seats.
- Install the center console, if equipped. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR (D06) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Install the front seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET or to SEAT REPLACEMENT - SPLIT BENCH in Seats.
