Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the hood release cable end to the latch.

  3. Install the hood latch (1) to the radiator support (3).
  4. Install the hood latch bolts (2) loosely.
  5. Adjust the hood latch height so that when the hood is closed, the hood is held securely against the front hood bumpers.
  6. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  7. Raise the hood.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hood latch bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  8. Adjust the front hood bumpers so that the top of the hood is flush with the fenders.
  9. Install the upper radiator support baffle. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE ASSEMBLIES AND DEFLECTORS (SIDE) or RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE ASSEMBLIES AND DEFLECTORS (UPPER) .
