Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air cleaner.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the air cleaner bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the air cleaner bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the PCM and the wiring harness to the air cleaner.
  5. Install the air cleaner side cover and element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement .

  7. Install the air cleaner upper cover and the upper cover bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the air cleaner upper cover bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  8. Install the left front sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal - Left in Body Front End.
  9. Install the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  10. Install the cruise control module. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement in Cruise Control.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LA1)Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) in Engine Electrical.
