Power Seats
Battery voltage and ground are supplied to power seat switch for seat adjuster motor operation. Seat adjuster motor assemblies are controlled by power seat switch through two control circuits for each seat adjuster motor. Seat adjuster switches are closed to ground when inactive. When an adjuster switch is pressed from an inactive position to an active position switch contacts apply ground to one control circuit and battery voltage to the other. The direction adjuster motor rotates is determined by polarity of control circuits. Upon end of travel each motor has a internal circuit breaker that will open and remain that way until battery voltage is removed from active control circuit(s).
