Circuit Description

Remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) module communicates with Body Control Module (BCM) through keyless entry serial data circuit. When any button on keyless entry transmitter is pressed, transmitter sends a signal to RCDLR module. RCDLR module sends a lock, unlock, or panic alarm request to BCM, depending on which button is pressed on transmitter. BCM receives message and performs appropriate function. BCM also uses keyless entry serial data circuit in order to communicate with RCDLR module when programming transmitters.

DTC B3102 sets when, keyless entry serial data circuit is shorted to ground. Condition must be met for approximately 300 milliseconds.

When DTC sets, keyless entry system will not operate.

A current DTC will clear when fault is no longer present and ignition switch is cycled. A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present. Scan tool may be used to clear history and current DTC(s).
