System Operation Check

  1. Turn instrument panel dimmer switch off. Remove key from ignition cylinder lock. Close all vehicle doors. Press LOCK button on RKE transmitter. All doors should lock and courtesy lights turn off. If result is not as expected, see SYMPTOM TESTS  .
  2. Press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter. Courtesy lights should turn on for 40 seconds. Depending on customization options selected, either driver door will unlock or all doors will unlock. If result is not as expected, see SYMPTOM TESTS 
  3. For mode 1, press UNLOCK button again within 5 seconds. Remaining doors should unlock. If result is not as expected, see SYMPTOM TESTS 
  4. If equipped with content theft deterrent, press alarm button on RKE transmitter. Headlights should flash and horns sound alternately for 2 minutes. Pressing alarm button again should turn headlights and horn off. If result is not as expected, see SYMPTOM TESTS 
  5. Press rear compartment button on RKE transmitter. Rear compartment lid should release. If result is not as expected, see SYMPTOM TESTS 
  6. If equipped with content theft deterrent, remote activation should operate as per customization mode. See PROGRAMMING  for modes. If result is not as expected, see SYMPTOM TESTS
