Preliminary Checks

Verify customer complaint by operating power seat. Visually inspect for obvious sign of mechanical and electrical damage. Check for blown fuses or faulty circuit breakers, loose or corroded connectors, damaged wiring, damaged motors, faulty switches, damaged adjusters, and obstructed or damaged seat track. Check for any aftermarket devices which could affect power seat operation. If no visual damage is evident, perform appropriate system test. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
