Circuit Description
The PCM's ability to control the EGR is checked in this test. PCM calculates an error based on the difference between actual EGR position and desired EGR position. PCM sets this DTC if error is too great.
Conditions required to set DTC are:
- Ignition voltage is greater than 11.7 volts.
- Desired EGR position is greater than zero percent.
- Difference between desired EGR position and actual EGR position is greater than 20 percent.
- Failure counter is greater than predetermined value.
