Circuit Description

The Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module is a communication link between the cruise control switch and PCM. Cruise control SET/COAST switch is an input to TAC module. This input is then communicated from the TAC module to the PCM across data serial line, allowing PCM to control and hold requested speed. Switch sends and ignition voltage to TAC module when switch is on (closed). DTC will set when module receives an unexpected input for longer than 90 seconds.
