Circuit Description

Throttle Position (TP) sensor is mounted on throttle body/Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) assembly. Sensor is actually 2 individual TP sensors within one housing. Two separate signal, ground and reference circuits are used in order to connect TP sensor assembly and TAC module. TP sensor signal voltage increases as throttle opens. The signal circuit for TP sensor is pulled up to reference voltage.

DTC will set when TP sensor voltage is less than 0.34 volt or greater than 4.4 volts and condition is met for less than one second.
