Test 3: Right Front Window Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe between master switch assembly connector terminals "B" (Light Blue wire) and "C" (Tan wire). While observing test light, press right window switch on master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step  3 . If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to next step.
  2. Check for poor connection at master switch assembly. If connection is okay, replace master switch assembly. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system.
  3. Using a test light, backprobe between right window switch connector terminals "B" (Light Blue wire) and "E" (Tan wire). While observing test light, press right window switch on master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step  5 . If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to next step.
  4. Check for open in Light Blue wire and Tan wire between master switch assembly and right window switch. If Light Blue wire is okay, repair open in Tan wire between left window switch connector terminal "C" and right window switch connector terminal "E". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and retest system.
  5. Using a test light, backprobe between right window switch connector terminals "C" (Brown wire) and "D" (Dark Blue wire). While observing test light, press right window switch to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step  7 . If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to next step.
  6. Check right window switch for poor connection. If connection is okay, replace right window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system.
  7. Using a test light, backprobe between right window motor harness connector terminals "A" (Dark Blue wire) and "B" (Brown wire). While observing test light, press right window switch to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step  9 .
  8. Check right window motor connections. If connections are okay replace right window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  9. Check for open in Dark Blue wire and Brown wire between right window switch and right window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and retest system.
