Test No. 7

  1. Disconnect suspect door lock actuator connector. Connect test light between door lock actuator connector terminal "B" (Gray wire) and ground. Observing test light and move either power door lock switch to lock. If test light flashes on once, go to next step. If test light does not flash on once, repair open circuit in door lock actuator Gray wire.
  2. Connect test light between suspect door lock actuator connector terminal "A" (Tan wire, left door) or (Gray/Black wire, right door) and ground. While observing test light, move either power door lock switch to unlock. If test light does not flash on once, go to next step. If test light flashes once, check for a poor connection at suspect door lock actuator. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, replace door actuator.
  3. Backprobe with test light between BCM C1 connector terminal A (Tan wire, left door) or terminal E (Gray/Black wire, right door) and ground. While observing test light, move either power door lock switch to unlock. If test light flashes once, repair open in Tan wire (left door) or Gray/Black wire (right door). If test light does not flash once, check for a poor connection at BCM C1 connector. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, replace BCM.
