Transmitter Inoperative/Operates Normally From Switches

  1. Program a known good transmitter and test keyless entry system. If system now operates normally, original transmitter was bad or had dead battery. If system still does not operate, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect receiver connector C2 located behind right kick panel. Connect test light between connector terminals "E" (Black wire) and "F" (Orange wire). If test light does not light, repair open circuit Black or Orange wire.
  3. If test light lights, disconnect receiver connector C1 located behind right kick panel. Check Black/White wire between connector terminal A and DLC for an open or short circuit to ground. If wire is okay, check for good connection to keyless entry receiver. If connection is okay, replace receiver.
