OPTI-Spark Plug Wire Harness Assembly (5.7L): Removal

1. Ensure ignition switch is in "OFF" or "LOCK" position.
2. Raise and suitably support vehicle. Remove crossover pipe from exhaust manifold assemblies.
3. Remove power steering pump assembly.
4. Drain coolant, remove lower radiator hose from water pump.
NOTE: Mark position of wires before removing.
5. Remove spark plug wire harness from wire harness clips. Remove spark plug wire harness from distributor, and remove spark plug wire harness from spark plugs. See Fig 1.
