Pulse Delay Operates Incorrectly Or Not At All

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect wiper/washer switch connector. Turn wiper/washer switch to DELAY position. Measure resistance between wiper/washer switch assembly terminal "D" (Yellow wire) and terminal "F" (Gray wire). Move wiper/washer switch through entire delay range, one detent at a time. If resistance varies from about 39,000-680,000 ohms, go to next step. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If resistance does not vary as specified, replace wiper/washer switch.
  2. Reconnect wiper/washer switch connector. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between wiper motor connector terminal "E" (Gray wire) and ground. If battery voltage is present, replace wiper motor cover (circuit board). See Figure . If approximately zero volts is present, check for open in Gray wire or poor connection between wiper/washer switch and wiper motor. If okay, replace wiper motor cover (circuit board).
