Ignition Switch
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug connector from ignition switch. Remove key. Continuity should not exist between terminal "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and any other terminal.
- Insert key into lock. Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "Y" (thin Red/White wire on mating connector).
- Rotate switch to OFF position. Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "Y" (thin Red/White wire on mating connector). Continuity should not exist between terminal "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and any other terminal.
- Rotate switch to RUN position. Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "W" (thick Red/White wire on mating connector). Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "V" (thick Red/White wire on mating connector). Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "Y" (thin Red/White wire on mating connector) or "Z" (Purple wire on mating connector).
- Rotate switch to START position. Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "W" (thick Red/White wire on mating connector). Continuity should not exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "V" (thick Red/White wire on mating connector). Continuity should exist between terminal "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "Y" (thin Red/White wire on mating connector). Continuity should exist between terminals "X" (Red wire on mating connector) and "Z" (Purple wire on mating connector).
