Low Coolant Indicator

  1. If LOW COOLANT indicator lights, but coolant level is okay, go to step 3). If LOW COOLANT indicator does not light and coolant level is low, disconnect surge tank low coolant switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Jumper terminal "B" (Yellow/Black wire) of low coolant switch connector to ground.
  2. If indicator does not come on, check Yellow/Black wire for open circuit. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If indicator comes on, connect jumper wire between terminals "B" (Yellow/Black wire) and "C" (Black/White wire) of low coolant switch connector. If indicator remains on, replace low coolant switch. If indicator goes out, check Black/White wire for open circuit.
  3. Disconnect surge tank low coolant switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If indicator does not come on, replace low coolant switch. If indicator comes on, check Yellow/Black wire for a short to ground. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
