Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)

Removal & Installation

Remove IACV connector and mounting screws. Remove IACV from throttle body. See Figure . Measure distance from mounting flange to point of pintle. If distance from flange to pintle is greater than 1.125" (29 mm) valve must be retracted before installation. Apply firm hand pressure and wiggle side-to-side to retract pintle. Install new "O" ring on valve assembly. Install IACV and mounting screws.
