Rectifier Bridge (Cs-130)

  1. Remove brush holder screw. Disconnect terminal and remove brush holder assembly. Unsolder and pry open terminal between regulator and rectifier bridge. Remove terminal and screws retaining regulator and rectifier bridge.
  2. Set ohmmeter to the "x1" scale. Connect one ohmmeter lead to one of the rectifier bridge terminals. Connect other ohmmeter lead to the heat sink on the opposite side of the rectifier bridge. See Fig 1. Reverse leads. If readings are identical, replace rectifier bridge.

  3. Repeat tests between heat sink and remaining 2 rectifier bridge terminals. Repeat procedure, substituting base plate for heat sink. Replace rectifier bridge if readings are the same at any one rectifier bridge terminal when the leads are reversed.
