Code 14: Coolant Temp Sensor Signal Volt Low: Notes

Coolant temperature is one of the inputs used to control fuel delivery, spark timing, idle speed, converter clutch, canister purge, air management (man. trans. only), EGR and cooling fan.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. Code 14 will set if signal voltage indicates high coolant temperature for 3 seconds.
  2. This test will determine if circuit No. 410 is shorted to ground which will cause the conditions for Code 14.
