Vacuum Break

  1. If vacuum break has an air bleed hole, plug off during this test procedure. Use Special Tools (J 23738 A or BT 7517) and hand held vacuum pump. Apply 15 in. Hg vacuum to vacuum break.
  2. Apply finger pressure to plunger to see if it has moved through full travel. If not, replace vacuum break. If vacuum break does not hold vacuum for at least 20 seconds, replace vacuum break. Replace vacuum break hoses that are cracked, cut or hardened.
