Injection Pump: Removal
- Disconnect battery ground cable. Drain cooling system. Remove fan shroud, radiator, and coolant recovery bottle. Remove upper dust cover. Loosen tension pulley and plate bolt. Remove tension spring and pump gear attaching nut. Using puller (J-22888), remove injection pump gear. Disconnect fuel lines and necessary wiring.
- Remove fuel filter at bracket. Disconnect injector lines at pump and nozzles. Remove lines. Remove 4 bolts attaching pump rear bracket and remove bracket. Remove nuts attaching injection pump flange. Remove injection pump together with fast idle device and return spring.
