Right Door Key CYL Arm SW Failure

NOTE: For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Clear trouble codes as needed. See BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Using scan tool, read passengers door zone switch voltage. If PASSENGER DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 4 volts, inspect passengers door key lock. Replace key lock as needed. If PASSENGER DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 4 volts, go to next step.
  2. Turn passengers door key cylinder switch to lock position and observe voltage on scan tool. Do not hold key in lock position for more than 7 seconds or code will set. If PASSENGER DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 4 volts, go to next step. If PASSENGER DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 4 volts, replace passengers door key cylinder switch.
  3. Operate passengers door key lock cylinder several times from unlock to lock position. Release key lock cylinder. With key lock cylinder in neutral position, observe scan tool voltage. If PASSENGER DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 5 volts, system is currently functioning correctly. If PASSENGER DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 5 volts, replace passengers door key cylinder switch.
